Hi, I'm Matthew Gene. I am a published author who also happens to be a musician.
When I'm not writing or playing music, I'm still working, due to my obsessive desire to stay busy. I am usually working on videos, making book trailers for fellow authors, or music videos.
I'm also a licensed drone pilot and private pilot.

A native Texan, Matthew grew up in the Dallas/Ft.Worth area and found a love for music and the bass guitar at an early age. He started playing in bands as early as high school, some of whom were: Xpedition, Love Coma, The Mudcats, iMi, Crüeligans, Break My Fall, and Empiires.
During this time, he has shared the stage with acts such as: Pat Travers, Sixpence None the Richer, Fuel, Puddle of Mudd, Candlebox, Saliva, Evans Blue, Eve 6, Faster Pussycat, Sebastian Bach, and Sevendust just to name a few.
He was also the bass player for the house band on the Drew Pearson Live show during football season 2019. It aired every Sunday morning at 11:30am on Channel 8 (WFAA).
He also has an endorsement with Ernie Ball Musicman.
He recently resigned from playing bass full-time, but music will always live in his heart and be his first love. He currently lives in Crowley, Texas, with his wife Karen, and their dog Diesel.
